So you’ve been going from store to store for the past few weeks but you’ve yet to come across a wedding dress that catches your eye. You have high expectations and want everything to look perfect on this dress, but the problem is, this dress doesn’t exist! What do you do?
You can custom design your own. Many brides-to-be are much too busy with their wedding plans to spare any time in designing their own wedding dress, and the majority just don’t have the design flair to do such a thing in the first place. This is where you might want to look at hiring the services of a designer to create your ideal dress (just be prepared to fork out a decent sum of money to make your dream come true).
On the bright side, at least you’re getting a gown that you know nobody else has, and comes custom-made to exactly how you like it to be. Every single detail, decided by you, isn’t that just grand?
If you haven’t got the resources to fund this dream gown of yours, you might have to sacrifice and do without a few other additions to your wedding like, forsaking the ice sculptures or that twelve-foot wedding cake.
Heed my advise. Never ever hire a wedding gown design studio which no one has ever heard of before. Only pay for the services of a professional via personal recommendation. Better to be safe than sorry.
Some people like to work with the wedding gown designers every step of the way, while others prefer to just look at a magazine and say to the designer “I would like something like that, but designed with these components”. Whatever your preferences are, the designer should be able to accommodate your every need, so talk to him and be sure he knows what you want.
This is where you will want to go crazy and describe the type of style of dress, fabrics you want included as well as any particular accessories you might want to have on during the day (just to make sure the dress matches the jewelery perfectly).
After the designs are done, you will get to choose the final one and the dress will be made for you within a few weeks. Make sure you allow enough time in between for any alterations that might be required.
